The snow sparkled so today, resplendent in multi-hued gems cut from the prism of rainbow light:  Amethyst, Topaz, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Ruby , Sapphire.  Tiny jewels on a white robe, distant stars seen on a moonless night, their old light twinkling as it makes the long journey through Earth’s atmosphere.

A slight move of the head brings forth a fireworks display of sparkles, tiny, bright, laughing with the sunshine and blue clear sky on this snow day.  “Look how the snow sparkles”.

I love small objects in snow, hunting for them amidst the vastness of white, highlighted as it where, otherwise forgotten and unseen.  Endless forms most beautiful.
